Neil Henderson, Managing Partner
Neil began his career at Still Price Lintas working on the Unilever business. He then spent three years at BBH, where he was responsible for one of the UK 's all-time favourite ads - the Melanie Sykes Boddingtons spot. He joined St. Luke's in 1996 as Head of Account Management and became Joint Managing Director in 2002. Neil has worked on most of the agency's major accounts, including Scottish & Newcastle and BT. Neil sits on the IPA council, is a Marketing Society Business Leader and sits on the development board of YCTV, St. Luke's chosen charity.
Susie Barker, Graduate Recruitment Manager, Waitrose
......When I began looking at companies to apply to after graduation, I wanted to work for a business that would not only look to me as an individual, that could influence, but one that would provide me with a challenging environment on a daily basis. It was this, along with my passion for food that brought me to Waitrose and my current position as Graduate Recruitment Manager. Having started as a Graduate Trainee myself in March 2004, I have a real insight into the scheme that is able to provide every trainee with a flexible training plan tailored to meet the individuals needs.
In addition to the comprehensive provision of training, Waitrose offers a uniquely different approach to the way our business is run. We are a Co-ownership and because of this everyone that works for us can have a say in its running. One of the benefits in managing a business this way is that we don't have shareholders and consequently enjoy the division of the company's profits. Last year this was 18% of your annual salary. Further benefits that you are able to look forward to are: five weeks holiday per year, non-contributory pension after five years' service, life assurance, discounts in both Waitrose and John Lewis, subsidised social and leisure activities and the chance to gain further qualifications. Being a Partnership, Waitrose believes that a work life balance is essential and it is for this reason that an offer in addition to remuneration is essential when providing an all round package.
